May drawings

I drew the first one while listening to “We are not born small”

What should I draw next? Let me know in the comments.

Howsabout something outside of your comfort zone? Maybe something that does a happier take on a tragedy of some sort, or something that portrays the resolution of a problem? I love that your drawings are so happy (they actually make me smile every time I see them), and I love that there is motion and spirit in all of them, too. The shaded backdrop in the third drawing here lends a lot of depth to an already awesome picture, too.

I’m curious how you’d portray something darker, or creatively put a positive spin on something darker?

That’s a daunting but worthwhile suggestion, so I will give it a try.
Thanks for your comment, I am glad to hear that the happiness in the drawings rubs off on you!

I really like the shading and imagery in the first one, it’s very lighthearted. πŸ™‚

Maybe you can try, like Flabbermongerish said, to do something outside of your comfort zone. For instance, have you tried drawing a building, or some sort of non-organic shaped item?

Hey Melissa, thanks for your comment! I usually avoid buildings and objects because they’re harder to draw, but since you mentioned it I will give it a try πŸ™‚
